PEMODELAN HIDROLIKA DI SUNGAI PROGO MENGGUNAKAN SMS 10.1
Abstract
One of the problems in Progo River is the forming of erosion and
sedimentation that caused change to river morphology. Hydraulics parameters
play important role in the process of sedimentation and degradation/erosion at the
bottom of the river. Regarding these conditions, to examine the potential of bank
erosion, we need the analysis of hydraulics condition in the Progo River using
software sms 10.1 (surface water modeling system). The hydraulics parameters
include current patterns, flow direction, and flow velocity on the Progo River. The
results of the study shower velocity flow on the area around the Bantar bridge are
not similar the field survey velocity. The flow pattern in the Progo River is
influenced by the changing shape of the river.
