This research is aimed at knowing the performance of students in implementing religious duties, the motivation level of performing religious duties and the factors that influence the motivation of performing religious duties. This research carried out descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ngemplak. This research was conducted from April-June 2018 involving students of VIII grade asthe sample of the research. The data of the research were obtained from survey, interview and observation. Meanwhile, the datawere analyzed using data reduction, display, and data verification or conclusion. The findings of the research are 1) the performance of religious duties at SMP Negeri 1 Ngemplak includes a) the performance of religious duties is in good category (77,31%) consisting of five times prayers (85,42), congregational prayer (74,31), Duha prayer/ supererogatory morning prayer (77,22), b) prayer is in a very good condition (87,50%), c) fasting is in a good condition (71,50%) consisting of Ramadhan fasting (80,56), Sunnah fasting (59,72) and taraweeh prayer (73,61) as well as good category in reciting Al-qur’an Murotal (76,39). Overall, the performance of religious duties of the students motivation of performing religious duties are parents, teachers, peer and community environment.
