      Abstract
Cartoons in the form of graphic novels, namely Kampung Boy cartoons which contain cartoon images that tell the lives of people in the village, especially in Malay. As a cartoon in the form of graphic novels, of course, the presence of Kampung Boy is not just about entertainment, but it is not infrequently special that it is deliberately presented as a discourse to address the existing realities ranging from issues of religion, culture and so on. The Kampung Boy cartoon is a cartoon by Datuk Lat that tells the story of a child in a village in the 1950s which is a recording of life in the village that can be used to read life situations in the village at that time. In conducting this research using data collection techniques such as pictures that have been selected in accordance with the theme and research literature, then analyze it using semiotics which refers to the concept of Charles Sanders Pierce. Research results show that villagers in Malay in their daily lives always hold fast to the Qur'an. They live in mutual respect and help and always attach Islamic education.KeyWords:
