      Abstract
      The purpose of the research is to get the effective extract of extracts for the control of Shitophilus zeamais and its effect on the quality of corn seed. This research has been conducted from March to May 2018 at the Laboratory of Protection Faculty of Agriculture University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The experiment was conducted using a laboratory experiment method with a single factor treatment design compiled in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment tested was the dose of tembelekan leaf extract 2 ml / 100 grams of corn + 3.2 grams of zeolite, 4 ml / 100 grams of corn + 6.4 grams of zeolite, and 6 ml / 100 grams of corn + 9.6 grams of zeolite. The dose of tembelekan leaves powder is 6 grams / 100 grams of corn and 0.0009 grams of Phostoxin / 100 grams of corn as a comparison, and without pesticides as a control. The results showed that leaf extract at 6 ml / 100 maize seeds + 9,6 grams zeolit was effective to control Sithophilus zeamais with mortality 73,33%. Leaf extract does not decrease the quality of corn seeds in the storage period of 1 month.
