      Abstract
Tuberculosis (TBC) is an infectious disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis which it infects lungs and bronchus. However, this infection could be prevented by proper education. Education is one of the efforts to improve knowledge and attitude towards TBC prevention. The aim of this research is to find out the effects of education on the level of knowledge and attitude of the undergraduate students of Pharmacy in Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) towards TBC prevention. This research was conducted in UMY on May 2018. The method of this study was an experimental descriptive research, using cross-sectional design. The questionnaires were distributed to 190 undergraduate students of Pharmacy UMY. The experimental used ‘one group before after’ or ‘pre-test and post-test group’ design . The data was analyzed by non parametric test with two related samples and Wilcoxon signed rank test. The result showed that there was a distinct level of knowledge, attitude and prevention about TBC among undergraduate students of Pharmacy, with sig value 0,000 (p<0,05, CI 95 %). It means that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test after the education (leaflet) was given. There was a difference of knowledge, attitude and prevention level about TBC in undergraduate students of Pharmacy based on their academic batches, but it was not statistically significant. .
