      Abstract
      Daendels Road is between 5 to 7 km geographically locted in Kulonprogo. It is an arterial road in the primary network system that connects to the district city or capital road with a high mobility. Because averagely accident often occur, it is necessary to conduct a road safety audit to reduce the dangers of accidents. Traffic on the Daendels road is the object of reasearch. Based on the background of the study and its problems, the aims of this study are to: 1. Identify the characteristic for accidents, 2. Evaluate and review the potential problems on the road that has been operationally for road safety, 3. Analyze Stopping Sight Distance (JPH) and Passing Sight Distance (JPM), 4. Give several recommendations for fixing the road. There are several traffic accidents and a number of victims which most of them suffer minor injury. Based on the future of the accidents, it is shown that there were 206 victims with minor injuries the most factor caused the accident are the human factor, all app 202 cases. Based on the prosses case, the most incidents are KDK (Accidents without Movement of Two Vehicles type) as much as 63 accidents. A lot of the vehicles that are involved in incidents are motorcycles as much as 121 cases. Based on the cases the most that have been involved in the accident are mostly men as much as 137 people. Stopping sight distance on the road is not safe because its spot speed (existing) which is as big as 52.15m and 44.38m smaller from stopping sight distance plan which is as big as 84.65m. Passing sight distance on the road is not safe because its spot speed (existing) as big as 230.91m and 205.46 m smaller from passing sight distance plan which is as big as 349.29m
