PERAN GLOBAL ECOLABELLING NETWORK (GEN) TERHADAP PROGRAM EKOLABEL DI KOREA SELATAN PADA TAHUN 2005-2011
Abstract
This research is trying to explain about the role of Global Ecolabelling Networks (GEN) toward ecolabel programs in South Korea. Global Ecolabelling Networks (GEN) is an international non-profit network of third party ecolabelling organizations that encourages and promotes type 1 ecolabelling development across the world. This research is using theory of international regime. This research is also applying qualitative methods and the data obtained comes from books, journals, documents, articles, internet sites and other sources related to this research.
Global Ecolabelling Network as international Regime leaded the standardization of eco-label certification, who corporate with ISO and create standard ISO 14024 series. South Korea become the member of GEN in 1997, the purpose of joining Global Ecolabelling Network are the Korean want to seriously overcome set of problem environtmental, and to protect an environment. Environment Education (EE), Energy Efficiency Grade Label and Korea Eco-Label are cooperation program between South Korea and Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN). The role of GEN as an International Regime are apply Sustainable Development principle and Ecolabelling Norms in South Korea as a global standard eco-label.
