STRATEGI PEMERINTAH INDONESIA DALAM MEMPROMOSIKAN PARIWISATA INDONESIA MELALUI ACARA THE AMAZING RACE ASIA SEASON 5 TAHUN 2016-2018
Abstract
This research departs from the anomaly of tourism conditions in Indonesia, which is high tourism potential in Indonesia, while at the same time the number of international tourists who come to Indonesia is lower than the neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Thailand. From that problem, the writer is interested to research on of the government's strategies to increase the number of international tourist visits to Indonesia, that is by sponsoring The Amazing Race Asia Season 5. This research uses the method of qualitative research. The research is done through explaning the presented data. The used data gathering technique in this research in literature study. The data are gathered from sources like books, journals, newspapers, and also documentation which is accessed from the internet. The theoretical frameworks used in this research are tourism promotion strategies, soft power concept in diplomacy, and cultural diplomacy. The result of this research is by sponsoring The Amazing Race Asia Season 5, it can increase the number of international tourist visits to Indonesia and raise the brand of Wonderful Indonesia.
