This thesis aims to find out the reasons that prompted Sweden to end on military cooperation with Saudi Arabia and Sweden’s national interests behind this case. This study uses qualitative research methods by explaining based on existing data. The data collection technique used in this paper is literature study. Data is obtained from sources in the form of books, journals, newspaper and also documentation that can be accessed from the internet. The author uses the theory of foreign decision making by William D. Coplin. This research concludes that Saudi Arabia gived caning to Raif Badawi. This is considered to threaten Sweden's national interest in upholding human rights and the insistence of two ruling coalition parties namely the social democrats and green parties after the Swedish foreign minister's speech was blocked by Saudi Arabia at the Arab League meeting
