      Abstract
      Solar power plant is one form of renewable alternative energy that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia, considering that Indonesia is located on the equator. In Indonesia, the use ofnsolar power plantiuses the Photovoltaic method. Photovoltaic is a method that uses solar cells to capture energy from sunlight. Solar power plants are usually used was a source of electrical energy for rural area and not reached by PLN network. This thesis contains a plan for the construction of a solar power plant on Muara Beting beach located on an island that is not covered by the PLN network. This plan aims to be able to make the design of PLTS development in Muara Beting properly. This plan contains an analysis of the calculation of electrical energy requirements, solar power plant design and capacity based on data obtained from Homer, construction costs and predictions of operational costs for twenty five years, and comparison of costs with the provision of electricity using generators. Where the design plan has produced new information, in the form of the most appropriate solar power plant design on Muara Beting beach is solar power plant off-grid 40 Kwp centralized. With construction costs of Rp. 906.263.200, annual maintenance costs of Rp. 9.939.276 and Rp. 226.565.800 until twenty five years, the cost of replacing the battery every five years is Rp. 258.000.000 and Rp. 1.032.00.00 until twenty five years. Then, the periode of return on capital occurs in the ninth year and total profit from sale of electricity to PLN for about twenty-five years is Rp. 1.393.970.030.
