      Abstract
      Swallow bird business is a business that has a high value, this is evidenced by the price of swallow nest which is quite expensive. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of swallow business in Lunang West Village, Lunang District, South Coastal District, West Sumatra. The method used in the research is the census method. The research location was chosen intentionally in in Lunang West Village, Lunang District, South Coastal District, West Sumatra with consideration of West Lunang Village which has the most swallow nest buildings and respondents taken represent each age. The number of samples used were as many as 12 swallow farmers. This study uses analysis with 4 criteria, namely Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B / C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback Period (PP). The results showed that using a 12% discount factor showed an NPV of Rp. 204.529.333, - Net B / C of 1,95 and IRR of 26,14%. The Payback Period shows that the return on investment is 5.6, which means that for a period of 5 years 6 months. Based on these activities, swallow farming is worth trying.
