      Abstract
      The research aimed to find out improving students’ vocabulary mastery by using the ratatouille movie. This research was conducted using pre-experimental research. The subject of this research was grade VII H of Junior High School in Yogyakarta which consisted of 32 students. The object of this research is to improve vocabulary mastery through the ratatouille movie. This research was conducted in descriptive and inferential statistics which is consist of planning, acting, and observing, and reflecting. The data were gathered though quantitative data. The quantitative data were obtained from the students’ vocabulary mastery score of pre-test and post-test means. Based on the result of this research showed that there was a development on the students vocabulary mastery, it can be seen from the mean score of pre-test were was 6.65 The mean of post-tests score was 87.45. Comparing one of the students who got 4.25 on the pre-test (P14) and 8.25 on the post-test. Another student (P23) got 8.25 on the pre-test and 9.00 on the post-test. It could be concluded that the use of ratatouille movie was effective to improve students’ vocabulary mastery.
