PERILAKU DIET SEBAGAI FAKTOR RISIKO TERHADAP PENYAKIT TIDAK MENULAR PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was one or the health problems of the world and Indonesia that was still a concern in the medical world because it was one of the causes of death. NCDs such as cardiovascular disease (heart disease, atherosclerosis, hypertension, coronary heart disease, stroke), diabetes mellitus and cancer. There were some risk factors of NCDs, among others were physical activity, tobacco use excessive and unhealthy diet. The purpose of this study was to determine the dietary behaviors at risk of non-communicable diseases.
This study was descriptive survey. Total population in this study were 20 845 and the sample in this study were 392 students by using simple random sampling technique. In this study, using a questionnaire food recall for 1 X 24 hours.
The results showed that the presence of risk factors for non-communicable diseases, such as college students do not eat on time, most of the foods they eat were carbohydrates, fats, protein and fiber and food preparations majority by frying.
