TINGKAT KETAATAN SISWA DALAM MENJALANKAN IBADAH DI SMP N 3 TURI SLEMAN
Abstract
Religious duty is an individual’s effort in getting closer to Allah. Allah is An existence of Holy God almighty that there is no way of approaching Him unless one is sacred. The purposes of this research are a) to find out the students’ obedience level in performing religious duties in SMP Negeri 3 Turi Sleman, b) to figure out the school program that can improve the students’ obedience in performing religious duties and c) to find out the factors affecting the students; obedience level in performing religious duties in SMP Negeri 3 Turi. This research was qualitative descriptive with 24 students grade VIII as the sample. The data collection technique was using questionnaire, interview and observation. The data analysis used was data reduction, data display and data verification. The result of this research is 1) that the students’ obedience in SMP Negeri 3 Turi includes: a) obedience in carrying out shalat (prayer), involving compulsory shalat, sunah dhuha shalat, shalat berjamaah (congregational prayer) and tarawih shalat; b) obedience in doing fasting, involving compulsory fasting, Monday-Thursday fasting, syawal fasting, arofah fasting and daud fasting; c) obedience in reciting doa dan dzikir (prayers), involving the prayers after shalat as well as reciting the holy Qur’an. The school program that improves the religious performance obedience is tadarus (reciting the holy Qur’an) before the lessons, social-religious activities and classroom recitation. c) The factors affecting the students’ obedience level in performing religious duties are parents’ motivation, teachers’ monitoring, peer social interaction and activities in the surrounding society.
