Labor migration is one of the phenomena of globalization that cannot be avoided. Indonesia is one of the countries in the Asian region that often sends workers abroad. Through foreign labor regulations, the government tries to provide both legal and administrative services and protection for Indonesian migrant workers. Issues concerning multi-sector Indonesian migrant workers become an interesting part of reporting in online media. This is because the protection of migrant workers is vulnerable to exploitation, violence and trafficking in persons. Thus, this thesis is present to explain the relationship between labor regulation of the PPMI Law No.18 of 2017 on negative reporting in online media. Online media has its own uniqueness in conveying information compared to print media and visual and audio visual media. The research in this thesis finds that the PPMI Law No.18 of 2017 has a positive relationship to the negative reporting of Indonesian migrant workers. Through analyst content techniques and descriptive statistics, it was found that PPMI Law No.18 of 2017 has a significant role in reducing negative reporting in online media.en_US
