Background: The toddler was the golden era of this period determines the further development of the child, where at this age that children begin to learn new things that may be harmful to children. Knowledge of child development is important to prevent injury to the child. Parents' behavior can also affect injury prevention that will be done parents. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between knowledge and behavior of parents in preventing injuries in children under five in the Ngebel vilage Tamantirto Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. Methods: The study was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The subjects of this study are parents toddler in Ngebel vilage Tamantirto Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. This research instrument using a questionnaire that was made by researcher. The data obtained were analyzed using Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that the majority of parents beusia 21-45 as many as 37 respondents (92.5%), 24 high school-educated respondents (60%), has a job as a housewife 29 respondents (72.5%), getting information from family 26 respondents (65%). The majority of the parents have a good level of knowledge of 25 respondents (62.5), and has a behavior enough 15 respondents (37.5%). The result of the calculation in correlation 0.00 get results where the p-value> 0.005. conclusion: Based on the study results showed that there is a correlation between knowledge and behavior of parents in the prevention of injuries in the Ngebel vilage Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta.
