      Abstract
      Nurses as health professionals should be able to pay attention to the status of patients who are not only a bio-psycho-socio-cultural being but also spiritual beings so that if the spiritual aspect is not be fullfilled, it will have an impact on the patient's recovery process. So, role of nurses are neeeded in case of fulfilling spiritual needs of the patient. The purpose of this study was to represent the spiritual care needs fulfilment by nurses to patient in PKU Muhammadiyah hospital ward in Bantul, Yogyakarta. This study design was descriptive analytic with cross sectional. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique with a number of respondents as many as 84 people. Results of univariate analysis, it was shown the fulfilment of spiritual care by nurses to patients who hospitalized in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul in the same amount that was in good categories as much as 42 respondents (50%) and in sufficient categories as much as 42 respondents (50%) while mean shown in good category, component meets the patient as a being has meaning and hope was deficient as much as 69 respondents (82%), the components meets the patient as a being in relationship was deficient as much as 80 respondents (95%), the component meets the patient as religious person was good as much as 57 respondents ( 68%), the components meets the patient as a being with autonomy was good as much as 50 respondents (59.5%). Fulfilling the needs of spiritual care is 50% good and 50% sufficient when the average is good. Based on this study, nurses are expected to capable of providing spiritual care fulfilment thorough to provide support and assist in the recovery of patients.
