      SUCCESS RATE EVALUATION IN CLASS I, II, III AND CLASS IV RESTORATION OF RESIN COMPOSITE AND GLASS IONOMER CEMENT (Research on Children 0-14 years old at RSGM UMY )

      Abstract
      Dental caries can happen in anterior and posterior teeth. Caries in decidui teeth is a evidence of excessive activity. Oral health problem are still a big concern in Indonesia, one of the highest ranked oral disease is dental caries. Dental caries more attack in children at school age. 80-95% children under 18 years of age attack dental caries. Dental caries in children need an effective treatment. One of the treatment is restoration. The aim of this study is to measure the success rate of class I, II, III and clas IV restoration of resin composite and glass ionomer cement on children 0-14 years old at RSGM UMY. The design of this study is observasional deskriptive and the data are gathered by using retrospective study. This study was implemented at August – September 2015 at RSGM UMY. Data analyses use SPSS with descriptive statistical analysis. The precentage of success using resin composite class I restoration is (92,5%), class II restoration is (91,4%), class III restoration is 94,7% and class IV restoration is 93,7% . The precentage of success using glass ionomer cement class I restoration is (95,6%), class II restoration is (96,0%), class III restoration is 88% and class IV restoration is 90,5%. Based on the result of this research, it can be coclude there is a successful in class I, II, III and class IV restoration with resin composite and glass ionomer cement in children who are 0-14 years old at RSGM UMY.
