AUTP Program is a form to transfer a risk that can provide compensation due to loss of farming. This study aims to show the implementation of the AUTP Program, the success rate of the AUTP Program, and factors that influence the success rate of the AUTP Program. The research was conducted in Kulon Progo, which had the highest level of farmer participation in the AUTP Program in 2015. The sample in this study were 100 farmers (claim, not claim) and 10 farmer group leaders. The analysis used was descriptive analysis, score achievement, and Rank Spearman correlation. The results showed that the implementation of the AUTP Program in Kulon Progo Regency was carried out according to the AUTP implementation guidelines, only at the implementation of socialization at the farmer level that it had not been done effectively. The success of the AUTP Program on farmer groups can claim or cannot claim included in the category of success with score of 80% and 76.67%. The success of the AUTP Program for farmers can claim or farmers who cannot claim included in less category with score of 57.83% and 44.25%. Factors that influence the success of the AUTP Program on farmer groups that make claims are the intensity of meetings and the availability of cash, while the success factor of the AUTP Program in the non-claiming farmer groups is the area of the group and the number of group members. Farming income and farming experience affect the success of the AUTP Program both for farmers who get claims and farmers who do not get claims. In addition to these factors, the success of the AUTP Program for farmers who get claims is influenced by age, and land area.
