      Abstract
Kepel (Stelechocarpus burahol [Bl.] Hook. F. & Thomson) belongs to Annonaceae family which ish one of the endemic flora in Spesial Region og Yogyakarta. Conventional cultivation of kepel plants takes a long time therefore, cultivation through tissue culture was implemented. The aim of this research was to obtain proper method og sterilizing kepel seeds using Hydrogen Peroxide. This research was carried out in the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in 2018. The research methods used completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replication. The treatment of this research were 5% H2O2 for 5 minutes, 5% H2O2 for 15 minutes, 10% H2O2 for 5 minutes, 10% H2O2 for 15 minutes, 15% H2O2 for 5 minutes, and 15% H2O2 for 15 minutes each treatment was immersion in kepel seed explants. The results showed that treatment with 10% concetrate of H2O2 for 15 minutes immersion was the best sterilizatin method supported by high percentage of libe explants (100%), lowest percentage of contaminan (0%), and lowest browning percentage (0%).
