IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR RISIKO KANKER SERVIKS PADA MAHASISWI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Cervical cancer is cancer with the highest prevalence in Indonesia. Cervical
cancer is a malignant tumor that attacks the cervical squamous intraepithelial
caused by several factors such as viruses, especially HPV (Human Papilloma
Virus). Risk factors that affect the occurance of cervical cancer are early
detection, HPV Vaccination, multipartner sex, early sexual intercourse, parity,
oral contraceptive, active smoker, exposure to cigarette smoke, perineal hygiene,
sanitary napkins/pentyliner, diet, obesity, and family history.
The goal of this research is to know risk factors of cervical cancer in
Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta’s female students. This research is
descriptive analytic research with survey method. Data collection technique used
in this research was simple random sampling conducted in January-May 2016,
with total of 383 respondents.
The results of this study showed that the highest risk factors of cervical
cancer in Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta’s female students is diet, the
second risk factors is sanitary napkins/pentyliner, the third risk factor is exposure
to cigarette smoke, the fourth risk factor is HPV vaccination, the fifth risk factors
is early detection, the sixth risk factor is perineal hygiene. As for Multipartner
sex, early sexual intercourse, multi parity, long-term usage of oral contraceptives,
smoker, obesity, and familiy history are not a risk factor for cervical cancer in
female students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
