This research discusses about South Sudan’s Government Decision in President Salva Kiir Era to Join the World Bank Group in 2012. The purpose of this research is to analyze and find out the factors underlying South Sudan joining the World Bank Group. Based on the research that has been done, the research conducted by the Government of South Sudan to join the World Bank Group is due to a decrease in economic and political capacity in South Sudan, as well as a positive image of the World Bank Group in the view of the Government of South Sudan based on pragmatism.
