Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is chronic multisystem disease associated with abnormal insulin production, inability to use insulin or both of them. Diabetes mellitus is the most complex disease and demands a lot of attention or efforts in its treatment compared with other chronic disease, because diabetes mellitus is incurable but nanageable. Diabetes mellitus became a serious health problem in the world because the prevalence is increased rapidly. Objective :To know the level knowledge of people with diabetes mellitus in doing diabetes mellitus chiropody. Method : This research used descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. Amount of the population used in this research was 276 persons. Sampling method used cluster sampling with amount of sampelwas 45 persons. The questionnaire used in this research adopted from Diani (2013) with 64 question and used variation analysis. Results : This research showed that from 45 respondents with diabetes mellitus, there were 5 persons (11,1%) in good category, 31 persons (68,9%) in moderate category. And 9 persons (20,0) in less category. It showed that the level knowledge of people with diabetes mellitus at Bantul at in Kasihan 1 health center was moderate. Conclusion : Level knowledge of people with diabetes mellitus at Bantul at in Kasihan 1 health center was moderate
