      Abstract
      Background: According to The Health Minister of Republic of Indonesia, 2009, more than 80% pregnant mothers in Indonesia experienced much sickness and vomiting also known as Hypermesis Gravidarum. Hypermesis Gravidarum caused by the rise of estrogen hormone, progesterone, as well as psychological factors. The effects of Hypermesis Gravirdarum are abortion, low birth weight neonatal, and premature birth. Therefore support from husbands and family are required to assist pregnant mothers in dealing with pregnancy adversities particularly Hypermesis Gravidarum. Method: Research design used in this study is descriptive approach. Research population consists of pregnant mothers visiting hospital with pregnancy of less than 4 weeks; samples are 24 respondents selected using accidental sampling technique. Instrument in this research is questionnaire equipped with likert scale. Result: Families who give good informative support are reported in 18 cases (60%). Families who provide good appraisal support are reported in 19 cases (63.3%). Families who provide good instrumental support are reported in 20 cases (66.7%). Families who provide good emotional support are reported in 20 cases (66.7%). Conclusion : Most family support given to pregnant mother experiencing Hypermesis Gravidarum can be considered as good as reported in 23 cases (76.7%)
