      Abstract
      The grounding system has a purpose, as the safety of buildings from hazards due to lightning strikes, installation failures that are analyzed and compared to the PUIL standard, PUIPP, Minister of Manpower Regulation on 1989 concerning lightning, SNI, IEEE, and IEC suppliers.This study using the methodology of comparing the value of building detainees in the form of schematic drawings and actual conditions in the field and then analyzed and concluded based on standards. Supporting data is obtained from references to books and journals related to grounding systems.KH Ibrahim building requires high lightning protection where KH Ibrahim building is in category III, the diameter of KH Ibrahim's lightning protection building is 57.4 m2, the protective surface area is 1.42 km2 and the lightning protection failure rate is 0.30% . Grounding resistance is 2.38 Ω for lightning rods while planning for soil resistance is 1.19 Ω. Grounding resistance on E6 building electrical is 2.38 Ω and E7 building is 0.56 Ω. Therefore K.H Ibrahim building grounding system meets the standards which explain the grounding system must be under 5 Ω for grounding systems.
