GAMBARAN KOMUNIKASI PERAWAT DI RUANG ICU RS PKU MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA UNIT I DAN II
Abstract
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a special room for treating patients with critical condition. In the ICU nurses interact most frequently with patients and families, interacting nurses need to perform good communication. Communication is often considered as an easy task, but it is actually a complex that involves behavior, relationships and allow people to socialize with other people and the environment. This study aimed to know the discription in the ICU nurse communication RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit I and II.
This research was descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach that includes biopsychocial communication domain, patients personally domain, sharing power and responsibility domain, therapeutic alliance domain and communication with other health team domain. Samples numbered 29 nurses working in the ICU RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta units I and II.
Nursing comunication biopsychosocial domain picture shows both categories with a mean score of 106,6. The communication domain patient showed good category with a mean score of 99.7. Communication domain overview of responsibilities and powers showed good category with a mean score of 101. The communications therapeutic alliance domain showed good category with a mean score of 104.2. Overview of communication with the medical team showed good category with a mean score of 103,2.
From the analysis above can be deduced discription nurse communication in the ICU based on five domain communication -centered patients showed good results.
