      Abstract
Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) Granola variety is widely cultivated potato in Indonesia. At present, productivity is only around 17 tons/ha from the potential of 38 to 50 tons per hectare. Factor that affect the quality of planting material are insufficient. The purpose of this research was to determine the type medium and concentration BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) which is appropriate for the induction of Potato shoots Granola varieties. This research was conducted in the In Vitro Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta from April to June 20019. This research used a single factor arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment consists of a combination of types of medium (MS, AB Mix 2 g/l, and 4 g/l) and BAP concentration (0, 0.5 and 1 mg/l). The data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance which followed by Duncan's Multiple Distance Test (DMRT) at α = 5%. The results of this research indicated that the medium and concentration of BAP can induce potato Granola Varieties shoots. The use of BAP 0,5 mg/l in AB Mix 2 g/l is the best concentration for induction of potato Granola varieties based on changes in the number of shoots.
