      Abstract
      This research aims to discover the risks faced by semi semi-organic farmers in Bener District and understand the farmers perception toward the risk of semi-organic Paddy farming in Bener District. The research was conducted in three villages, namely Bleber Village, Legetan Village and Ngasinan Village. Purworejo Regency. Central Java Province using the purpose sampling method (purposive sampling)which is based on the fact that these Villages has started to implement organic agriculture although it is not totally organic yet. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and analysis of farmer’s perception toward the risk (scoring). The result showed (1) Various type of risks faced by semi-oraganic paddy farmers and non-organic paddy farmers which located in Village of Lagetan, Ngasinan and Bleber is organism disorders, unpredictable climate change, natural disasters such as landslides or flooded, the health condition of the farmers are hampered during farming activity, decreased labours, low amount of farming capital and expenditure cost to meet the farmers household needs which considered high. (2) semi-organic and non-organic farmers assumed that all of the risks could hamper the sustainability of paddy farming, but the farmers also considered the impact of the risks could be prevent if they were aware of it. In general, the farmer’s perception toward various risks in semi-organic paddy farming business in Bener District are adequate or neutral.
