Migration is one of globalization phenomenon that is constantly increasing throughout the world including Indonesia as a 'transit area' for immigrants who move from one place to another. One example is immigrants from the Middle East region who migrated to Indonesia. With this background, the large number of immigrants who docked in Indonesia illegally and not recorded by the authorities became one of the endless problems. Therefore, the presence of international organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is present as an institution that regulates and assists in the handling of cases of migration found in Indonesia. Thus, this research aims to investigate the role of IOM as an international organization in dealing with cases of Middle Eastern immigrants in Indonesia. In conducting this research, the author uses International Organization Concept and Role Theory to explaining how IOM helping the Indonesian Government to solving this problem.
