Background. Estimated age is very necessary in the field of forensic odontology. In determining the age must use an accurate method. The method in the estimated age that is often used is the Schour and Massler method. The Nolla method uses a method that is different in age estimates and is not widely used in Indonesia. The Schour and Massler and Nolla methods use panoramic radiographs in estimating age. Aim. To find out the comparison of the accuracy of the Nolla and Schourand Massler methods in determining age using a panoramic X-ray in patients at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Muhammadiyah University, Yogyakarta. Research methods. This study is an analytic observational study. The researcher will take X-rays of patients at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University who are in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria of this study. The design of this study was cross sectional. The number of samples in the study was 95. Result. In this study the results of the Schour and Massler method obtained an accurate value of 69 while the Nolla method was 48. Conclusion. Statistically, the Schour and Massler method is more accurate than the Nolla method in estimating age in patients at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Muhammadiyah University, Yogyakarta.
