      Abstract
      This paper describes the reasons the United States withdrawal from the Paris Agreement under President Donald Trump in the year 2017. The role of the United States in climate change as long as it is weak, especially global climate action. During the reign of Barack Obama, the United States made a new breakthrough by ratifying the Paris Agreement under the umbrella of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), the global climate change regime. However, during the reign of Donald Trump, President of the United States withdrew from the Paris Agreement in 2017. This study uses the theory of Role in international relations by K. J. Holsti. Role theory describes the reasons President Donald Trump pull United States of the Paris Agreement that focuses on the preference of Donald Trump and the platform of the Republican Party and political support in the country supported by a broader perspective constructivist explaining a discrepancy regarding the deal in the Paris Agreement with the platform of the Republican Party whose primary agenda is the development of the technology of production and export of energy United States as the main supplier of energy in the world dependent on fossil fuels
