      Abstract
Tin leaf (Ficus carica linn.) and bidara leaf (Ziziphus mauritania linn.) have been known from several studies on various pytochemical contents, one of the content is flavonoid. These two plants have been used as traditional medicine to treeat several ailments, such as inflammation. In other hand, the usage of raw tin and bidara leaves is uncomfortable and the efficacy of the effect is unmeasurable. The purpose of this study is to determine the presence of the antiinflammatory effect on the extract of the raw material also to create optimal cream formulation for the extract. Cream could be the suitable form with several advantages, such as comfortable feel on skin, optimal contact-time, and helps soothe inflamed skin. This study uses 15 groups of male BALB/c mice strand which were given treatment as follows: normal control, negative control, positive control, bidara extract 2,5%; bidara extract 5%; tin extract 2,5%; tin extract 5%; combination extract 2,5%; combination extract 5%; bidara cream 2,5%; bidara cream 5%; tin cream 2,5%; tin cream 5%; combination cream 2,5%; combination crem 5%. The antiinflammatory activity was evaluated by measuring the thickness of epidermis in the skin tissue and descriptive observation of inflammatory cells and expression of COX-2. Earlier, mice were given croton oil on the back to induce the inflammation, after 3 days treatment of cream and extract, mice were sacrificed to obtain histopatological preparations made with hematoxylin eosin staining and immunohistochemistry COX-2. Data were analyzed statistically with Kruskal-Wallis followed by mann-whitney to determine differences between groups. The result show group control bidara extract 2,5%; bidara extract 5%; tin extract 2,5%; tin extract 5%; combination extract 2,5%; combination extract 5%; bidara cream 2,5%; bidara cream 5%; tin cream 2,5%; tin cream 5%; combination cream 2,5%; combination crem 5% have abillity to reduce thickness of epidermis significantly in statistic (p<0,05) compared to negative group control. In other hand compared to positive group control there is no significant result and the positive control can reduce better than the group control.
