      Abstract
Flexible pavement is made using a material such as asphalt. In Indonesia, its existence is abundant. One of them is buton asphalt or usually known as asbuton. It is usually obtained from PT. Pertamina (persero). Currently, modified asphalt has been widely used for flexible pavement. This type of asphalt can be made in several ways such as adding an additive namely latex. The abundance of the natural resources of latex in Indonesia and its elasticity can improve the durability of asphalt. Therefore, the writer used latex as additional material for asphalt. The sample testing was done using the Marshall method to know the influence of latex as additional material for asphalt. Based on the result of the test toward the asphalt content of 4.5% and the latex content in variation of 0%, 2%, 4%, and 6%, it was found out that the latex content that fulfilled the standard specification of OBC was 6% with VMA 15%, VIM 4.8%, Flow 3.35%, VFA 68.95%, MQ 402.9863kg/mm, Stability 1021.89kg, and Density 2.38.
