Background: Vasodepressor syncope is one of the most common medical emergencies in a dentist's office. The knowledge of profession students regarding vasodepressor syncope is needed to prevent morbidity. Objective: This research aims to know the description of knowledge level of the first-year students of dentist profession study program regarding vasodepressor syncope at RSGM UMY. Method: This is an observational descriptive research with cross sectional design. The subjects of the research were 121 people selected using total sampling technique. There were 118 participants who voluntarily participated in the research. The sample of the research was the first-year students of the dentist profession study program at UMY. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires consisting of 31 questions to the respondents. The obtained data were analyzed manually and displayed based on frequency distribution in the form of table. Result: The results show that the majority of the respondents have a sufficient knowledge level regarding vasodepressor syncope (59.3%). Based on the six components of knowledge regarding vasodepressor syncope, the respondents have a good knowledge level on the anamnesis and preparation (90.39%) and etiology (96.18%), have a sufficient knowledge level on the definition (72.88%) , incidence (58.75%) and management (71.71%) and have a lack knowledge level on pathophysiology (54.23%). Conclusion: The majority of the first-year students of dentist profession study program has sufficient knowledge level regarding vasodepressor syncope
