      Abstract
In this final project the main objective is to know the potential of wind and solar energy for the needs of the Hybrid Power Plant (PLTH) as a provider of alternative energy sources for Street Umun Lighting (PJU) on Ringroad Road South of Yogyakarta. In this study to determine the potential of wind and solar energy as a power plant carried out by collecting data on solar intensity, wind speed, and load profile at the study site. Next is a simulation with the help of Homer software to help modeling an optimal power plant. In this study it was found that the potential of Hybrid Power Plants (Wind and Solar) was not suitable in the location of research, this was because the wind energy in the study location was very small, which was an average of 1.8 m / s in one year and was only able to produce electrical energy 189 kWh / year. The potential of a suitable power plant at the research location is the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) with the energy produced at 58,872 kWh / year. The optimal power plant configuration is a solar power plant with PV specifications of 40.5 kW, 52 S6CS25P batteries, and a converter of 7.12 kW with an NPC value ($ 124,751.93).
