      Abstract
The unbalanced load in electric power distribution system always happens and it is a common condition. The unbalanced load happens in intermediate voltage network, low voltage network, and transformer. The occurrence of load imbalance in the distribution network is caused by one phase load which is not equal to each other. This is what causes loss or energy losses in low voltage networks as well as analyzing the effect of load balancing on the transformer against decreased power loss, i.e. the value of power loss before load balancing and after Load Balancing. This is examined in this final task, which is a load imbalance that occurs in the low voltage distribution network. The location selected in the research site of this final task is PT. PLN (Persero) Rayon Sedayu Jl. Wates KM 11 Argorejo Sedayu Yogyakarta. With these load imbalances resulted in a neutral current leak on the transformer. In principle, neutral currents are zero in balanced state. But in reality, a distribution system of electrical tension is always in an unbalanced load state. So in the 1 phase system as applied in Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta, neutral current is approaching zero is considered to be good. The result of load balancing on the 6th of transformer distributions obtained average suppression of the power loss on neutral conductive is 242, 186 watts. Cost savings on financial losses after load balancing of Rp 171.409,563/month. So the goal is to do load balancing to reduce power losses, technical losses, and nontechnical losses.
