      Abstract
      This research was carried out aimed at obtaining information about the barriers to grounding the SUTT High Voltage Air Channel tower) at the Bantul Substation Bantul- Wates transmission line in 2015 until 2019. Measuring the resistance value using the Earth Tester tool, measurements were carried out on 20 towers carried out by PT. PLN (Persero) P3B-JB Central Java and DIY Transmission Service Unit (UPT) Bantul 150 KV. Low leg resistance is useful as a shortcut to reduce the current of lightning strikes, the leg resistance on the transmission tower is set to be less than 10 ohms. Obstacles that exceed this value are not guaranteed to protect air transmission lines, back flashovers are very likely to occur in this situation. The obstacle condition in the grounding of the SUTT 150 KV tower transmission in Bantul-Wates in 2016 was the worst / danger, namely with the number of tower 10 in good condition, 2 towers with medium / high condition and 8 towers with bad / hazard conditions compared to the obstacle conditions for grounding the SUTT 150 KV tower the transmission of Bantul - Wates in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The best conditions for the grounding of the SUTT 150 KV transmission transmission tower in Bantul - Wates are in 2015, with 13 towers in good condition, 4 towers with moderate conditions, 3 towers with bad / dangerous conditions
