      Abstract
      The increasing population in Indonesia also has an impact on the transportation sector. Population growth is directly proportional to the growth in the number of ownership of motorized vehicles. As the number of motor vehicles increases, the volume of traffic will increase and the potential for accidents that will occur will be even greater. On the Km 4 - 4,5 Wates road there are two signalled intersections which are prone to traffic violations. Therefore, an analysis is needed to determine the relationship between the volume of road capacity and the accident rate. The analytical method used statistical test, specifically is regression analysis. MKJI 1997 is used to calculate the volume and road capacity, then it will be analysed with regression analysis to find the relationship between the variable. The results of the analysis show that the volume capacity ratio affects the speed of the vehicle with the equation Y = -29,737x + 54,038 and the R2 = 0,9321. The relationship of VCR values affects the occurrence of accidents. In 2017 accidents increase at a ratio of 0.4 to 0.6 while in 2018 at a ratio of 0.4 to 0.8 the accidents level is decrease. In 2017 the obtained equation is y = 12,093x2 - 22,985 x + 12,011 and the R2 value is 0,816 while in 2018 the obtained equation is y = -12,342x2 + 9,2734x + 3,613 and the R2 value is 0,856. Both of the graphics show that accidents frequently happens when the flow is free, this condition occured due to the drivers can choose the speed of vehicle. The relationship between speed of vehicle and the number of accidents the obtained equation in 2017 is y = 0,2456x – 5,0613 and the R2 = 0,565 whereas in 2018 the equation is y = 0,1566x – 2,2866 and the R2 = 0,7523.
