      Abstract
The thesis comes to discuss about the potential of a power plant that rely on wind as its main element. The recent source of power from natures like wind and solar are capable to be a future solution for reducing the use of fossil fuel on producing power. Because the fossil fuel it self is not infinity and might run out one day if it used continuously. The working principle of this wind power plant is by using a wind turbine to get wind kinetic power. The wind kinetic power will move the turbine so the generator spins and produce the electrical power. And then the electrical power is getting transformed from DC to AC on an inverter to be supplied to the electricity users. This research of wind power plant was conducted by using the HOMER energy application to gain the best and most optimal configuration from the power plant system. So that this system can meet the capacity of residents electricity usage, the best and most optimal configuration from the HOMER simulation calculation results are the combination of 141 wind turbine, 1656 batteries and a 266 kW inverter. With the total investment budget US$8.811.427, this wind power plant can produces the amount of energy 2,5 gWh a year.
