GERAKAN SOSIAL PEREMPUAN DALAM MERESPON PEMBANGUNAN MANUSIA DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA TAHUN 2017-2018
Abstract
Social movements in developing countries, especially in Indonesia, are mostly related to humanity issues. Social movements arise because of inequality, discrimination, and demage that distrubs the stability of society consisting of a group of people. That means social movements respond to anything problems occur within the scope of society. The social movement is an alternative choise for people to convey their problems because of their movements can reach the lower society. ‘Aisyiyah is organization that has been actively responding to society problems since 1917. ‘Aisyiyah was born in Yogyakarta where it was the city with the highest number of human development. Through Pimpinan Daerah ‘Aisyiyah in Yogyakarta, ‘Aisyiyah continued their movements in Yogyakarta.
The purpose of this study is to examine social movements in Pimpinan Daerah ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta, and then see the contribution of ‘Aisyiyah to human development in Yogyakarta. this research in Yogyakarta, D.I. Yogyakarta. Pimpinan Daerah ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta is the object of research. This study uses a qualitative methode. Primary data is obtained from interview and observation results to Pimpinan Daerah ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta, and then secondary data is obtained from books, e-books, journals, legal products, institutional documents, and the official website of the organization. Concepts to analyzing research such as social movement theory by Rajendra Singh, S-O-R theory for identify the responses, Feminism, and Human Development Index.
The results of the study show that : 1. ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta has been involved in response to the human divelopment of Yogyakarta, especially in the fields of education, health, economics, and social. 2. The response is in the form of assistance and coordination. 3. ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta is part of a social movement. 4. Even though as a women’s organization, especially western feminism is not found in movements ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. 5. The goals from movement of ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta are not only for women
