      Abstract
In Indonesia, asphalt is the most important part of road pavement construction. One type of layer that is most generally used is Asphalt Concerete Wearing Course (AC - WC) which is a layer of the surface. Natural Rubber (caoutchouc) is the main modifying material for asphalt, because rubber has a good plasticity and very useful for stickiness. Mixing asphalt and latex in pavement construction is really helpful to increase consumption of rubber in this country. The Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding latex on asphalt penetration 60/70 and to find out the effect of adding latex to the mixture with asphalt penetration 60/70 with The Marshall Method on density values, VIM, VMA, VFA, stability, flow and Marshall Quotient (MQ). The results of this test will examine the results of the Marshall test with 4.5% asphalt content variations with added variations in the levels of latex 0%, 3%, 5%, and 7%. From the results of testing carried out by the Marshall method there were. No variations with added variations in the levels of latex with the KAO. In this test, only 5% latex has the best result with a density value of 2.32gr/cm3”, VIM value of 66.04%, the stability value is 999.58 kg, the flow value is 2.21 mm and the MQ value is 334.473 kg/mm.
