      Abstract
      The research is titled Communication Strategy of Lembaga Amil Infaq And Shodaqoh Muhammadiyah (LazisMu) in Obtaining Donations from Muzakki in City of Kendal at 2018. LazisMu is a charity institution that collects or raise funds of the zakat, shadaqah, and other forms of donations. This study aims to describe communication strategies that are used and obstacles faced by Lazismu (Zakat of Amil Infaq dan Shodaqoh Muhammadiyah) in raising donation funds from muzakki at the Kendal City. The study conducted as qualitative descriptive research and the data collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study shows that the communication strategy of LazisMu at the City of Kendal is using charity box made from can to reach more community member and increase the number of muzakki. This program called Kaleng Infaq Shadaqah (KIS) and it is used because it is easier and safer. The obstacle of LazisMu in raising charity funds from muzakki is the misperception of the community member about LazisMu affiliative status to Muhammadiyah. Many community members guess that LazisMu only provides help for people affiliated to Muhammadiyah organization, They also think that community member that not affiliated to Muhammadiyah cannot give the donation to LazisMu. Other obstacles are mismanagement of donation distribution processes, cans production for KIS program that takes a long time, and data problem.
