      Abstract
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has emerged as one of the drivers that have significant impacts on organisational changes. Higher education institutions are not exempt from this global trend. The daily lives of faculty, as well as students and staff, are significantly affected by the introduction and dissemination of ICT. However, research findings show mix results of ICT use in tertiary education. Rather than improve the quality of teaching and learning, the use of ICT in higher education has led to several problems that need to be addressed. This paper provides a brief description of those inconsistency findings and discusses several factors that potentially impact the use of ICT in higher education. Further agendas need to be established to minimise the variance impact of ICT use in higher education, in teaching and learning in particular.
