      Abstract
Line Today is a medium of information that presents a variety of news. Many people who currently do not have time to read the news in newspapers and other print media can be tricked by providing online news features. The presence of the Line Today feature eases people to read the news every day. The movement of public reading vehicles especially students from print to online media cannot be avoided along with the increasing percentage of internet users and mobile phones that are accompanied by internet access. This study aims to determine the influence of Line Today on student interest in reading news articles. This research is a quantitative study by distributing questionnaires to students. The population in this study were students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) with a total sample of 100 respondents. The technique used in sampling is probability sampling with the type of simple random sampling. The analysis technique used is a simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Line Today feature significantly influences students' interest in reading news articles by 67.7%. While the remaining 32.3% is influenced by other things outside of this study. Testing the hypothesis of Line Today features simultaneously shows that the Fcount is greater than the Ftable with a significance level of 5% ie 0,000 <0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, there is an influence of using Line Today feature on UMY students' interest in reading news
