PERUBAHAN KEBIJAKAN MILITER RUSIA TERHADAP KRISIS UKRAINA PASCA DOKTRIN MILITER TAHUN 2014
Abstract
The crisis in Ukraine was one of the reason Russia
had to change its military policy after the signing of the 2014
Military Doctrine. The crisis in Ukraine became Russia's
momentum that Russia could defend the country's interests,
especially in protecting ethnic citizens in Ukraine, the gas
lines through the Ukraine state, and the NATO expansion that
made Russia worried that Ukraine would no longer be a
neutral country and join for NATO. For this reason, Russia
intervened militarily because Russia was strong in the military
field.
The author raised the title of this thesis "The changes
in Russian Military Policy Against the Ukraine Crisis After
2014 Military Doctrine", that is to know the reasons why
Russia needs to change its military policy after the 2014
military doctrine was signed, and why Ukraine was an
important country for Russia.
The theory that the author use in this thesis is the
Foreign Policy Theory (foreign policy) which in this foreign
policy theory there are 3 factors that influence in producing a
foreign policy action, namely: the domestic political situation,
economic and military capabilities, international situations
and conditions . Russia made foreign policy in the form of
military intervention during the crisis in Ukraine because it
had its own purpose.
