      Abstract
The rise of China in the economic and military then pushed Japan to be able to balance its strength against China. This then made Japan to revive the Quadrilateral Strategic Dialogue (QSD). This study aims to examine the reasons for Japan in enhancing cooperation with Quadrilateral Block countries. This paper uses the theory of national interests and alliances. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of library research. The data used is secondary data.
