      Abstract
Narcotics is a dangerous chemical substance that can affect a person's psychological condition, such as feelings, thoughts, moods, and behavior —in fact it also can change the life of a person. Drugs in Indonesia are not only used by the adults, but also children who are mostly out of their parents' control. Aceh is also a hotbed for the supply of drugs from China and Malaysia. The method used in this study is qualitative description using data collection techniques, namely interviews. Interviews were conducted RY and RH respondents also FD and KS. In communicating with children, parents have to use supportive communication consisting of six conditions, namely description, problem orientation, spontaneous attitude, empathy, equality, and provosionalism. The results of this study are the respondents have not been optimal in using supportive communication in responding to the actions of their children who consume drugs. RY and FD were the respondents in problem orientation where they tried to find solutions to problems, in spontaneity RY and FD have been succeed because they were honest and forthright in expressing their opinions and desires. In empathy, RY and FD also felt and understood what their children felt as well as provosionalism, RY and FD were open and listened to every opinion and wishes of their children. In terms of description, RY is always prejudiced against his child, but different things are shown by FDs who never immediately judge their child. Both of them did not run their equality optimally because there were still distractions when their children expressed their opinions.
