      Abstract
      Welding techniques are always needed in the industrial field, to develop product manufacturing. Friction welding is the joining of two metals that utilize heat generated from two metals that are frictioned and put under pressure. Material capacity that will be connected using this friction welding max diameter of 8.8mm. The purpose of the development / manufacture of friction welding equipment is to make small and medium businesses able to make friction welding equipment at a cost that is not too expensive, requires components that are not too much and also easy in the construction of this friction welding equipment. The design that needs to be considered in the construction of this welding device is the construction of a table stand so that it is strong to support the tool and reduce vibration. The most important component of this friction welding device is an electric motor and also pneumatic. The operational process is easy and maintenance is not too complicated. The welding stages start from preparing the material, locking the material on each grip, turning on the electric motor, turning on the pneumatic system, the welding process lasts 1 minute, after completing the welding process turn off the electric motor and turn on the braking system and turn off the pneumatic system, and the final step opens lock each handle.
