      Abstract
      Japanese language has many expressions such as reminding expression. The reminding expression in Indonesia and in Japan have the same principle, that is, variations in the use of this expression can be influenced by the status of speakers and speech partners. For example, the relationship between superiors and subordinates or in Japanese called Jouge Kankei. This research aims to find out what reminding expression are used by seniors to juniors, what reminding expression are used between classmates, and what reminding expression are used by juniors to seniors in the college environment. The research data was taken from Japanese learning students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The results of this study show that senior speakers use more casual types with the form of wasurenaide expressions when talking to their juniors with a frequency of use 9 times, classmate speakers use a casual variety with the form of wasurenaide expressions when talking to their classmate with a frequency of use 9 times, and junior speakers use more formal forms with expressions of wasurenaidekudasai when speaking with seniors with a frequency of use 13 times.
