      Abstract
      This research is focus on process of shouryakugo on Social Media Twitter. This research was conducted to find out the shouryakugo form on social media of twitter. This study aims to determine the type and process of shouryakugo formation on social media twitter. This research uses data which is taken from tweets topic that trended with the hashtag # 社会 during the period of January to March 2019. The used method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data obtained will be categorized and analyzed by the formation process. The results of this study were found in the type and process of shouryakugo formation. These types are 32 forms of gobu shouryaku kei, 17 forms of zenbu shouryaku kei, 7 forms of chuu shouryaku kei, 1 form of zengo shouryaku kei and 6 forms of kousi youso tanbun ketsugou kei and no one form of romaji shouryaku. Meanwhile, for the formation process there are 28 omissions at the end of the word, 3 omissions on part or all of the first word, 3 omissions at the end of the first word and all the second words, 20 syllables at the beginning of the first word and the beginning of the second word, 1 syllable omissions at the end of the first word. There are two formation processes that are not contained in the data, namely the lettering of each word component, the elimination of conjunctions, elimination syllables at the end of the second word, and omissions the syllable at the end of the first word.
